I have been playing drums and various percussion instruments for over 30 years. As a young musician growing up in Philadelphia, it wasn’t easy trying to make a stake in the Philly music scene. But hard work and perseverance paid off with winning several drumming competition throughout the city. One of the highlights of my travels was meeting Billy Cobham at SIR studios in Hollywood Ca. while rehearsing for a live tour. As a kid growing up I instantly fell in-love with Funk and Jazz Fusion listening to James Brown, E.W.F. Stanley Clarke, Jon Luc Ponty, Funkadelic, Mandrill, John McLaughlin, Carl Palmer and of course Billy Cobham just to name a few.
At age 22, I started my professional career, recording and touring live with
THE VILLAGE PEOPLE, an earning
Gold and Platinum albums presented by Cant Stop Productions. Later after the fall of the Disco era, I landed a few gigs with Philadelphia’s own, BLUE MAGIC, MAJOR HARRIS, CHUBBY CHECKER, INSTANT FUNK, BRANDI WELLS, THE RICHIE FAMILY and has shared the the stage with such artist as Bobby Wormack, D-Train, Third World and Peabo Bryson.
I'm just a Philly born, life long student of the Pocket Groove;
Now livin, workin, and spreadin some Neck Bones and Hog Malls funk in New England.
Other highlights include touring The United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Japan and appearing on The Midnight Special, Don Kirsners Rock Concert, The Academy Of Music, Philadelphia; Madison Square Garden, New York; The Salt Palace, Las Vegas, The Boston Garden and many many more.
